We've previously stayed at Dunes Village and Compass Cove but are looking to try something different , maybe reminiscent of fun camping trips I took in my youth. Both look to have great amenities (Lakewood- waterpark), Pirateland (lazy river and new pirate ship kiddie splash area). We would stay in one of the onsite trailers as we don't have an RV.The campground is more relaxed when most kids are in school. At our quietest time in the winter, there may be as few as 4 people per acre. Our activities are geared more toward adults.
